Call for Panelists
The Conductor as Scholar: How to Define Creative Activities/Research in Higher Education

2008 NCCO Conference,
University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
October 30 - November 1st, 2008

NCCO members are encouraged to apply to serve as a panelist on the topic of creative activities as they relate to the research component for tenure and promotion. This panel discussion will focus on a variety of programs (large urban colleges, 2-year colleges, small private schools, etc.) and will present how these different programs judge musical performance as scholarship in their various academic sessions. Panelists are encouraged to share their own institutional documents where appropriate.

How to apply:

  • Send a resume and a one-page (maximum) proposal that describes: How your institution measures conducting performances as scholarship and/or research.
