Call for Panelists
Topic: Working With An Orchestra

2008 NCCO Conference,
University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
October 30 - November 1st, 2008

NCCO members are encouraged to apply to serve as a panelist on the topic of choral directors working with orchestras. This panel discussion will offer guidelines and suggestions to aid the conductor in maximizing rehearsal time with an orchestra. Panelists may also suggest inviting musicians who are orchestral colleagues who could add to the discussion from the perspective of an instrumentalist.

How to apply:

  • Send a resume and a one-page (maximum) proposal that describes: Useful techniques for working with an orchestra in rehearsals and performance with a special focus on limited rehearsal time for the orchestra before joining with the choir.
