About You

Help us learn about you and stay in contact.
At what email would you like to communicate about the Fellowship Program?

Your Background

Please upload a short resume highlighting your compositional experience (i.e. list of works, performances, awards, etc.) Only PDF files are accepted.

Your Music

Below, upload a PDF score of a composition (or excerpt from a composition) for SATB chorus (limited or no divisi) no longer than 3 minutes. Note that this is the piece that the choir will perform at the conference. Once the application is submitted, the composer will not be able to make any further changes until the workshop itself, as the score must be shared with the demonstration choir for rehearsal preparation.
Please upload your score here. Only PDF files are accepted.
Recordings are not required, but a link to a recording (Soundcloud, YouTube, etc.) may be submitted if available. Please also include this link to the recording on the first page of the PDF score.

Please solicit one letter of recommendation from a current faculty member (ideally a choir director) with whom you have worked. The faculty member should be familiar with your compositions or composing history, and may comment on any or all of the following:
  • Progress in your academic degree
  • Compositional skill and experience writing for the voice/choruses
  • Potential for a successful career as a composer
  • Experience working with the composer as a choral singer, if applicable
  • Collegiality
Please ask all recommenders to send their letter (as PDF) to by the September 15, 2019, deadline.
List the name of your recommender (a current faculty member—ideally a choir director).
List the recommender’s email address.
Please describe the relationship of Recommender to the applicant.
